The world’s first polka musical, written with Carl Finch (of Brave Combo fame) and Bob Lucas (one of Ohio’s songwriters extraordinaire).  Evelyn, a wealthy Houston heiress, finds Hank Czerniak, her birth father and a defrocked Polka King.  They put a band together and head out on a journey to find Evelyn’s birth mother.

Premiered at: Mad River Theatre Works.  Subsequent productions: Actors Theatre Of Louisville, Steppenwolf, New American Theatre, Next Act and others.  A screen version was commissioned by Amblin Entertainment.

A script, a score and performance rights can be obtained at Samuel French.
